Dr. Dan's Dynamic Weight Loss Program Off to a Great Start!
We recently launched Dr. Dan's Dynamic Weight Loss Program to rave reviews. Two talks were held during September to explain the program and we were thrilled to receive a tremendous response from those in attendance. In fact, many people signed up for the program the night of the talks! Several of our participants are already off and running with their programs and looking forward to shedding some pounds just in time for those holiday parties.
Both talks on September 26th and 27th were filled to capacity. Unfortunately, due to space constraints, we were forced to turn people away. But don't worry, if you missed out on our last talks we have scheduled another talk on our Dynamic Weight Loss Program for Tuesday, October 18th from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. to bring you up to speed on the program. To register, call 978.462.0023 or e-mail us at info@drdansnaturalhealing.com.
During this talk, Dr. Dan will go into detail on the facts and science behind the program - invaluable information if you are considering joining this program. We hope you can make it! If you are unable to make this talk, Click here for an overview of the program and/or call our office with any questions you may have.

Disarming Lyme Disease Talk by Dr. Dan on Monday, November 7th from 6:30 - 7:00 pm
Living in the Northeast, we are all very familiar with Lyme disease. Most people have either suffered with the disease themselves or know a family member or friend who has. Although the disease is now the most common tick-borne illness in the U.S. with more than 150,000 cases having been reported to the CDC since 1982, its diagnosis and treatment can be challenging for medical professionals due to its diverse manifestations and the limitations of currently available blood tests.
Symptoms of the disease in its early stages are a solid red or bull's-eye rash, swelling of lymph glands near the bite site, generalized flue-like achiness and headache. Often, people have no recollection of being bitten by a deer tick or any idea they have contracted Lyme disease.
Later stages of Lyme disease manifest in joint pain, facial palsy, multiple enlarged lymph glands, sore throat, changes in vision, fever between 100 and 102 degrees and severe fatigue.
In advanced stages, arthritis, chronic fatigue, short term memory loss or mental fog and numbness in the arms, hands, legs or feet are present.
Sadly, people often go for months and even years without an accurate diagnosis and may have had blood work that was negative or inconclusive for Lyme disease.
Part of the reason that Lyme is so hard to diagnose in later stages is that the bacteria transmitted by the initial tick bite no longer appear in the blood having settled deep within cells and tissues. When this occurs, the disease cannot easily be detected by traditional blood tests.
Lyme disease manifests in many forms, not just the spirochete bacteria that is carried by the deer tick. Antibiotics are effective in treating the spirochete; however the spirochete bacteria often "morph" into immune challenges that present as parasites, yeast, fungus and viruses. These secondary manifestations are neither understood nor accepted in traditional medical circles and represent a unique diagnostic and treatment challenge. To complicate matters, these "morphed" immune challenges can continue to morph and challenge the immune system in multiple ways in response to different stressors being placed on the body.
Fortunately, Nutrition Response Testing enables us to provide highly effective nutritional support for dealing with Lyme and Lyme-like Symptoms. We augment nutritional support with a series of homeopathic and herbal remedies.
The beauty of NRT is that we are able to observe when the disease is exiting the body and adjust the subsequent remedy doses accordingly. This typically happens in stages until the disease has totally left the body and the patient has returned to good health.
At Dr. Dan's we have experienced a 90% success rate in treating a large number of patients suffering with Lyme disease and Lyme-like symptoms. Many of these patients had no idea they had Lyme disease but were extremely frustrated that they could not shake the symptoms of this disease for months or even years.
See what one of our patients has to say about Dr. Dan's approach to healing her Lyme symptoms:
"A little more than a year ago, I was extremely lethargic, my joints ached immensely and I had terrible headaches. My right knee had swollen to twice its size. After a very bright P.A. decided to draw the fluid from my knee and have it tested, I was diagnosed with stage 2 Lyme disease. I took high doses of antibiotics for almost four months. I had flu-like symptoms almost every day in addition to the other symptoms. I took myself off of the antibiotics and the flu symptoms subsided, but I still had the other symptoms and just getting through the day was difficult. My life consisted of sleep, work and home again to sleep. The tests still came out positive with Lyme. I knew I needed to do something different, the drugs were making me sick and I was still sick with Lyme.
I had heard of Dr. Dan through a friend of mine and made my first appointment in April. I figured I had nothing to lose. My first appointment was "interesting" and I thought I'd give it a few months to see how things went. After changing my supplements several times and changing my diet, I can now say that after only 9 months, I no longer have Lyme. My symptoms are completely gone.
Thank you Dr. Dan and Sara for all that you have done to help me get rid of this horrible, debilitating disease. Thank you for giving me my life back!"
-Dee

MS, Stroke, PTSD, Parkinson's and Other Central Nervous Disorder Symptom Relief with Chinese Scalp Acupuncture. Now Offered at Dr. Dan's
Attend our Talk on Chinese Scalp Acupuncture and Battlefield Acupuncture on Monday, November 7th from 7:00 - 7:30 pm.
Chinese Acupuncture has been around for 3,000 years; however the modern technique of Scalp Acupuncture has only been around for the past 40 years. Developed in China in the 1970's, it combines Chinese Acupuncture needling techniques with modern Western medical knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and neurology. Certain areas of the scalp correspond to specific areas of injury in the body that have resulted from a variety of neurological disorders such as MS, stroke, PTSD, Parkinson's or from automobile injury, dizziness/vertigo or phantom pain.
Chinese Scalp Acupuncture was first introduced in the US in 1989. Dr. Dan is one of only a limited number of Acupuncture practitioners in the US who have received extensive training in this discipline.
This technique is used at Walter Reed Army Medical Center to treat traumatic war wounds in veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and has been shown to produce dramatic results in alleviating MS and other central nervous system disorder symptoms. Usually, patients see some relief after one session (although it is not unusual to see significant relief in one session) and increasing results over a series of 10 sessions. After initial treatment, periodic maintenance sessions are needed to maintain the improved symptom relief.
If you would like to better understand how Chinese Scalp Acupuncture might help you with symptom relief as part of your overall treatment plan, please give Dr. Dan a call at 978.462.0023 and he can advise you on how this healing modality may help with your specific medical issues or attend our talk on Monday, November 7th from 7:00 - 7:30 pm. Please call our office at 978.462.0023 or e-mail us at info@drdansnaturalhealing.com to register.
How I Overcame My Health Struggles with Dr. Dan's Battefield Acupuncture - A Patient's Story
I first visited Dr. Dan in February 2010 due to a variety of health issues that had plagued me for some time. I was experiencing all the symptoms of chronic fatigue, had a strange tingling sensation in my chest, upper arms and head when I attempted to do work or exercise of any kind and had been struggling for years with a herniated disc in my spine that caused me extreme pain. I had been diagnosed as having severe degenerative disc disease in the past. My Primary Care Physician and an Endocrinologist had suggested physical therapy to help me deal with pain associated with my herniated disc and hormone replacement therapy for my chronic fatigue. When my back issues resulted in painful spasms, I was given epidural steroid injections that are effective, however cause pain and are very expensive ($3,000 for three injections over a three-month period). On the positive side, I did regain full mobility as a result of these injections; however the results were not long lasting. The hormone replacement therapy did virtually nothing to resolve my chronic fatigue. After both my PCP and Endocrinologist told me there was nothing further they could do for me, I decided to see if Dr. Dan could help me. Results achieved with Dr. Dan Eyink could only be described as a breakthrough success story. After just a few weeks of treatment, the strange tingling sensation was gone and after a few months of targeted nutrition therapy my daily energy level was almost completely restored. My physical strength and endurance have improved dramatically and I believe my chronic fatigue is just about resolved. A few months into my Natural Healing with Dr. Dan, I was experiencing severe pain and my back had locked up into a spasm that I could no nothing to change. Dr. Dan treated me with an acupuncture protocol called Battlefield Acupuncture. After only one treatment and resting in his office for 20 minutes, I was able to leave completely functional! My mobility was 100% restored with this one treatment! Battlefield acupuncture is the fastest, most effective, lowest cost solution to my bulging disc troubles. Additionally, as a long term solution to prevent my back spasms from reoccuring Dr. Dan gave me an Amino Acid regimen to restore the fluid in my spine. I am also taking Omega 3 fish oil to improve my bone health and reduce inflammation in my joints and discs. Dr. Dan and his staff are emphathetic and responsive. The office is constantly striving to improve its knowledge base, library and food supplies. I would be happy to speak with anyone who would like to know more about how my treatments have helped me improve and sustain my health. As I said earlier, results achieved with Dr. Dan could only be described as a breakthrough success story! -Mark
